I was thinking of getting some BTC but then I realized, wouldn’t libra replace btc’s role as utillity coin?
Bitcoin today is said to serve as a utility coin since use BTC when purchasing alt-coins.
However, BTC is still very volatile and so USD is often used to purchase BTC. Since Libra is a stable coin, wouldn’t people use Libra in the future to purchase alt-coins directly. Rather than going through the process of converting USD to BTC to alt-coins, making BTC’s role as a utility coin obsolete.
I was thinking of getting Bitcoin recently for fun but I thought the absence of utility coin aspect in Bitcoin in the future could make BTC in the future worthless after the launch of Libra. Will Libra replace bitcoin? If so how so? If not how not? Thanks
