Testnet incoming RESET and push on 12/16

Hi all,

We want to give everyone a heads up on the breaking changes in the next testnet release on 12/16.

A major change was landed today - https://github.com/libra/diem/commit/76576974dc47bada937c2851b62060a43fc0bd55.

Due to the breaking nature in the commit, testnet genesis will be reset during deployment. Notably after deployment, there are two currencies in testnet: XUS (stablecoin), and XDX (synthetic currency).

Python SDK diem 1.0.0 is released for upcoming Testnet breaking change:

  • pypi: https://pypi.org/project/diem/
  • testnet.Faucet is updated to support creating designated_dealer account
  • The testnet config is switched to devnet in this release for client application to test with devnet before Testnet is updated
  • Account identifier HRP is renamed to : DM for mainnet, TDM for testnet, PDM for premainnet, DDM for dry-run mainnet

Golang SDK v1.0.0 (by tag in codebase) is released to: https://github.com/diem/client-sdk-go:

  • Renamed all libra to diem
  • All data types updated to match diem core codebase latest master types
  • Account identifier HRP is renamed to : DM for mainnet, TDM for testnet, PDM for premainnet, DDM for dry-run mainnet
  • The testnet config is switched to devnet in this release for client application to test with devnet before Testnet is updated

Java SDK v1.0.0 is released to Maven central repo (download details):

  • Renamed all libra to diem
  • Package name is changed to com.diem.*
  • All data types updated to match diem core codebase latest master types
  • Account identifier HRP is renamed to : DM for mainnet, TDM for testnet, PDM for premainnet, DDM for dry-run mainnet
  • The testnet config is switched to devnet in this release for client application to test with devnet before Testnet is updated

We will be deploying 7ffca62b from the release-1.1 branch tomorrow (12/16). Iterating from the OP, the genesis will restart and storage DB will be wiped.
