Recently, the compiler started issuing warnings when generics are used in script functions:
warning[W04022]: script function cannot be invoked with this signature (NOTE: this may become an error in the future)
Because things are easier to keep than change afterwards, I am pleading with you Diem core developers for keeping this functionality in the future too
This is a way for library providers (such as myself) to provide generic convenience functions for users of the library, so they are free to use these functions in their own script functions (which they can then provide to their end users).
