As a key goal of the Libra association is to develop an open identity standard, will it be a requirement to have a valid Digital ID before anyone can purchase or exchange Libra coin?
Yes, and FB already has that data btw, they just ask permission to use your data. Lol im serious this will be the worst enigma to fb.
where in the white paper do they discuss the open identity standard?
On this page - https://libra.org/en-US/white-paper/#the-libra-association, it says, “An additional goal of the association is to develop and promote an open identity standard. We believe that decentralized and portable digital identity is a prerequisite to financial inclusion and competition.”
When I read that it looks like the Libra association will require a Digital ID to trade Libra coin. Or are they referring to some other unspecified financial instrument?
So it’s not like cash, more like credit cards where every transaction is monitored.
Who will get this info? Libra? Everyone? Secret services?
